Webster Police observed Doorley traveling 55 mph in a residential area when the speed limit was 35 mph on April 22, 2024. Doorley did not stop when the officer attempted to perform a traffic check, even though he had lights and sirens on. Instead, he drove home and called the Webster chief of police.[4] Doorley is captured on camera telling the officer she was driving 20 mph over the speed limit and saying, “I don’t care,” as well as saying, “didn’t feel like stopping,” in response to questions about why she didn’t yield. Additionally, Doorley can be seen on camera referencing her role as district attorney multiple times throughout the encounter. After that, Doorley received a speeding penalty. Doorley said in a statement that the next day she entered a guilty plea to speeding.
